Kansas City is in dire need of a prolonged winning streak but they are heading in the wrong direction with defeats in eight of eleven where the offense has struggled to score runs. Runs were dificult to come by Sunday and the pitching didn't help in a 6-0 defeat at Fenway Park on Sunday. Rooki Yordano Ventura struggled early with all six runs scored on nine hits and four BB over 4.1 frames to see his record fall to 7-8. There was no help coming from the bats with four hits and a pair of walks with Alcides Escobar posting two hits. Kansas City turns to Jeremy Guthrie on the hill to face the rival White Sox on Monday. Guthrie has struggled the past two times out with 14 runs plated on 19 hits in eight innings of work.

Starter John Danks was tagged for seven runs on 12 hits over 4.1 frames with he loss going to Daniel Webb who gave up four runs in one inning. The White Sox launched a ten hit, five walk atttack that saw the team rally from 4-1 and 7-4 deficits with five players recording RBI's and seven scoring.
