The Miami Marlins look for another win at Coors Field versus the Colorado Rockies.
The Miami Marlins have their backs against the wall as far as reaching the postseason is concened but they have responded well so far. The Fish have won four of five after Friday's 13-5 decision at Coors Field Friday. Henderson Alvarez wasn't at his best with four runs scored on ten hits including a pair of long balls over six frames. Marcell Ozuna homered and knocked in five while Giancarlo Stanton and Donovan Solano combined to knock in five more. Tom Koehler will be on the hill Saturday when he takes on the Colorado Rockies for the first time in 2014. Koehler is looking to build on a 10-3 win over Arizona where he gave up two runs in six frames.

The Rockies have been hitting the ball and scoring but not enough to overcome the pitching in the series opener versus the Marlins. Franklin Morales gave up six runs in four frames before Boone Logan and Juan Nicasio combined for six runs allowed in the 9th. The bats pounded out 13 hits with Justin Morneau and Corey Dickerson slamming homers and knocking in two runs apiece. Jordan Lyles faces the Miami Marlins for the second time on the season in game two Saturday. Lyles has been in a bit of a funk lately as he has not recorded a quality start in five straight outings.
