The Miami Marlins hope to end their series at Coors Field with a win over the Colorado Rockies.
The Miami Marlins have been playing well and at this point in the season it's either play well or make plans to watch the postseason. The Marlins let one get away Saturday in a 5-4, 13 inning loss at Colorado that that further dimmed their postseason drive. Tom Koehler allowed three runs in seven frames and then Steve Cishek serves up a homer to tie it in the 9th with the loss going to Sam Dyson. The Fish received 12 hits with four players driving in runs but 16 strikeouts did them in. The Marlins have scheduled Brad Hand for Sunday's start versus the Colorado Rockies. Hand is 2-5 with a 4.52 ERA over eleven outings with eight long balls hurting him the most.

The Colorado Rockies will be home for the postseason and the only goal this team has is to beat other playoff hopefuls so they won't be in the playoffs either. The Rockies were the perfect spoiler Saturday as they outlast Miami in 13 frames. Jordan Lyles was charged with three runs on seven hits and five bases on balls through 5.1 innings in a no decision effort. Colorado racked up 14 hits with Charlie Blackmon and Corey Dickerson slamming long balls and knocking in a pair of runs apiece. Rookie Christian Berman toes the rubber against the visiting Miami Marlins Sunday afternoon. Through three career starts Bergman has gone 0-2 with a 7.20 ERA over 15 innings pitched.
I do give a slight edge to Miami because Bergman doesn't have enough work to say what he can or can't do. Something small on the Marlins and pray the closer can get three outs...
