The San Diego Padres and the Milwaukee Brewers face off on Tuesday for game two of their series at PETCO Park.
The San Diego Padres have had their share of ups and downs this season and Monday was a down as they were shelled by the Brewers. Yangervis Solarte had two hits and Seth Smith and Yasmani Grandal were among those Padres with hits as San Diego scored one run on eight hits. Starting pitcher Eric Stults couldn’t find an answer as he allowed nine hits and four runs while striking out three over 5.0 innings to take the loss and fall to 6-14 for the season. For Tuesday’s game the Padres start Tyson Ross who has lost his last two starts. For the season Ross has allowed 143 hits and 52 earned runs while striking out 170 over 174.2 innings for an 11-12 record and a 2.68 ERA.
