The Cleveland Indians look to even their series with the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday.
The Minnesota Twins season has come down to being a spoiler with the schedule presenting plenty of opportunities against playoff hopefuls. The Twins were perfect spoilers Tuesday with a 4-3 victory with a four run 4th carrying the day. Trevor May gave up both runs over five frames to pick up his second win while four relievers made the lead stand up. The offense posted five hits and walked twice with Oswaldo Arcia cracking a two run bomb. Minnesota looks to Kyle Gibson to secure back to back wins over the Cleveland Indians. Gibson has struggled as of late with an 0-1 record with a 5.40 ERA covering 16.2 innings over three starts.

The Cleveland Indians need to string wins together and avoid losing streaks with so many teams in the running for a Wild Card. After Tuesday's defeat the Tribe have dropped back to back games with starter Trevor Bauer suffering one bad inning in the 4th before finishing an eight inning stint that was great otherwise. The Indians had several chances with a nine hit, four walk attack but settled for a two RBI night from Yan Gomes with Lonnie Chisenhall driving in one. The Indians are scheduled to start TJ House against the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday. House has generally thrown the ball well in 14 starts with a 2-3 record and 3.71 ERA over 85 innings.
The Indians need a win Wednesday and avoid a three game skid which would be doubly hard to take with so much competition for the Wild Card. I prefer the Cleveland offense and I hoe that Gibson doesn't throw a gem...
