The San Francisco Giants look to end their series at Chase Field versus the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The San Francisco Giants have to get going ASAP as they've lost a few games and the Dodgers have been winning which obviously hurts their NL West title hopes. San Francisco picked up a huge 2-1 win over the Diamondbacks behind a great performance on the mound from Jake Peavy. Peavy allowed the lone run over 7.2 frames to pick up the win. The offense did just enough with Buster Posey slamming his 21st bomb while Brandon Crawford drove in Hunter Pence. A surging Madison Bumgarner takes his 4th shot at the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2014. Bumgarner has won three in a row with just four runs plated over 19 innings with a 1.89 ERA.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have been winning and their mini hot streak certainly wasn't something the postseason hopeful Giants wanted to see. The Diamondbacks put up a good fight before a narrow defeat to San Francisco that snapped a three game winning streak. Starter Josh Collmenter was a tough luck loser with both runs plated through eight innings. The Snakes struggled at the plate with five hits and a walk with AJ Pollock singling in Chris Owings with the only run. The Diamondbacks give Wednesday's start to Randall Delgado who has four starts on the season with two coming against San Francisco. Overall Delgado is 3-4 with a 5.48 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP.
I'm just going with the better team with more at stake because otherwise we are wondering if the Diamondbacks will score...
