The Boston Red Sox continue their series at Camden Yards with AL East champion the Baltimore Orioles.
The Boston Red Sox were out of the postseason picture early in the season and have never found the groove. Boston was in the groove for at least a day with a 5-3, ten inning win at Baltimore Friday with great starting pitching and the long ball. Allen Webster gave up a run over 5.2 frames with Craig Breslow allowing two more without recording an out. David Ortiz cracked a pair of homers and drove in three while Yoenis Cespedes went solo. Rubby De La Rosa hopes to end his struggles when he takes on the Baltimore Orioles for the second time in 2014. De La Rosa is 4-7 on the season with a 4.31 ERA and 1.47 WHIP over 17 starts.

Even though the Baltimore Orioles were far in front of the pack in the American League East and could have coasted in to the postseason they have not let up. The Orioles suffered a rare setback in the series opener with visiting Boston with the offense having an off night. Starter Kevin Gausman was charged with three runs (two earned) on a pair of long balls with Darren O'Day giving up two in the 10th to take the loss. The Birds totaled ten hits with Delmon Young and Nelson Cruz recording RBI's. The Orioles go with Chris Tillman on the mound who opposes the Red Sox for the 5th time. Tillman is 12-5 with a 3.29 ERA but Baltimore is an impressive 23-9 when Tillman is on the bump.
The Orioles don't have anything to play for but I don't think they just go through the motions here with time to do so later so I'll back them...
