The Colorado Rockies finish off their series with the Arizona Diamondbacks at Coors Field on Sunday afternoon.
The Arizona Diamondbacks seemed to be heading for a solid end to the season but things have made a turn for the worse with five straight defeats after a 5-1 loss Saturday. Trevor Cahill's struggles continued with all five runs plated on ten hits over five frames to get the defeat. The offense had some runners with nine hits but Jacob Lamb was the scoring with 4th homer of the year. Left hander Wade Miley is charged with containing the suddenly hot offense of the Colorado Rockies. Miley has been throwing the ball well the last three times out with a 1-1 record and 2.81 ERA.

The Colorado Rockies have been hitting the ball as of late and scoring runs is always tied in to the success of this team. It's been a good week with the Rockies winning five in a row after Saturday's complete performance. Edie Butler took care of things on the mound with the lone run allowed on a solo homer through six frames. The offense continued to roll with Josh Rutledge and Corey Dickerson each slamming homers and driving in two runs apiece. Left hander Christian Bergman opposes the Arizona Diamondbacks for the second time in 2014. Bergman is hoping to bounce back from his poorest outing the year with six runs scored in five innings of an 11-3 loss to the Dodgers.
I'm leaning Colorado not because they are the better team but because they are playing about as well as they have all season...
