The New York Yankees hope to add another to the win column as they tangle with the Toronto Blue Jays in the series finale'.
The Toronto Blue Jays were one the top team in the AL East at one time but consistency at the plate and on the mound has hurt them. This trend has been front and center in a six game slide that was snapped in Saturday's 6-3 victory. Marcus Stroman came up big on the bump with two runs scored over eight frames with a nine hit, six walk attack backing him up. Jose Bautista went deep and scored three times while Danny Valencia doubled in two. Drew Hutchison is charged with controlling the bats of the New York Yankees in the final game of their series. Hutchison is in need of a rebound from an 8-2 loss at Baltimore where he gave up six runs in six frames.

The New York Yankees ended up being a non factor in the American League East although a number of key injuries might have cost the Bronx Bombers a shot at the postseason. The Yanks have been playing decent ball but didn't have much success in any area in Saturday. Starter Chris Capuano gave up four runs on five hits and four bases on balls thrugh 5.2 innings in absorbing the loss. New York totaled nine hits but didn't do much damage with only Brian McCann and Francisco Cervelli driving in runs. Masahiro Tanaka comes off the disabled list to make his first start since the first week in July. Tanaka was one of the top hurlers in the game with a 12-4 record and 2.51 ERA over 18 outings.
The big danger in backing the Yankees is what can we expext from Tanaka and hoe long will he go. I suspect he will be on a short leash so be cautious...
