The Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Angels meet for the last time in the regular season on Wednesday.
The Los Angeles Angels have wrapped up the AL West and home field advantage and might be in cruise control now. The Angels are preparing for the postseason and dealt the A's postseason hopes a blow with a 2-0 victory on Tuesday. Wade LeBlanc turned in a dominant performance over 5.1 frames with four relievers finishing the job. The offense didn't do much with only three hits but an unearned run and solo homer by Gordon Beckham was enough. The Angels end the series on the mound with Hector Santiago who opposes the oakland Athletics for the 4th time. Santiago has struggled the last two times out with nine runs plated in three frames.

The Oakland Athletics seemed as if they would be the team in cruise control right now but the past month hasn't been kind and a spot in the postseason is up for grabs. The Athletics are struggling to survive right now with Seattle and Kansas City battling for the two Wild Card's. Starter Sonny Gray gave up both runs on three hits but only one was earned on a solo homer through seven innings. The Athletics had plenty of runners on seven hits and a trio of base on balls. A pair of double plays and no clutch hits and the offense struggled to do anything. Left hander Jon Lester takes the ball in the final game of the series verus the Los Angeles Angels. Lester has been on fire the entire season with a 16-10 record and 2.41 ERA over 31 outings.
I like Lester here but I'm not touching Oakland because they simply aren't getting the job done...
