The NL West champion Los Angeles Dodgers host the Colorado Rockies in Friday night action.
The Colorado Rockies look to end the season with a strong run after dropping two of three at Petco Park following a 4-3 defeat on Wednesday. Starter Yohan Flande served up a three run jack in the first and allowed four runs over four frames to absorb the loss. The offense never dug themselves out of the early hole with seven hits and a trio of BB not being enough. Charlie Blackmon went solo with Michael Cuddyer and Corey Dickerson driving in runs. The Rockies go with Jordan Lyles on the mound Friday for his second match up with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Lyles has been throwing the ball well the last three times out with six runs plated in 18 frames.

The Los Angeles Dodgers captured the National League West title via their 9-1 victory over second place San Francisco on Wednesday night. The Dodgers wrapped up the division in style with a huge night at the plate and another outstanding start from Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw allowed the lone run on eight hits through eight innings while striking out eleven to up his record to 21-3. The Offense did their damage with nine hits and six free passes Yasiel Puig slammed a two run bomb while Juan Uribe and Carl Crawford knocked in five runs. Roberto Hernandez is scheduled to take the hill versus the Colorado Rockies for the 4th time. Hernandez has been struggling his last three outings with six earned runs scored over 10.2 innings.
I don't have a clue of what lineup the Dodgers will put on the field after wrapping up the NL West so I don't like laying the chalk. Of course the Rockies are no guarantee and this one isn't for me...
