The Arizona Diamondbacks began the season slow and are ending it slow as well as a late rally went for naught in an extra inning defeat at the hands of the visiting Cardinals. Starter Trevor Cahill was charged with four runs through five innings with Evan Marshall allowing the winner in the 10th. The Diamondbacks pounded out 12 hits with four bases on balls Didi Gregorius going 3-5 with a pair of runs driven in. Altogether five players recorded RBI's and six scored. The Diamondbacks give the ball to Wade Miley fror the game two start versus the St Louis Cardinals. Miley is 8-12 with a 4.35 ERA overall and has struggled over his last three with a 6.75 ERA.
This game means alot to the Cardinals who need another win to hold off the Pirates so I'll give them the edge here...
