The Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Angels square off at Safeco Field on Saturday night.
The Los Angeles Angels look to enter the postseason with momentum as they battle Seattle in game two of their series. The Angels put up their usual fight in a 4-3 loss at Safeco Field in the series opener. Jered Weaver didn't have his best stuff with all four runs scored on three long balls over six frames to absorb the loss. Los Angeles mustered seven hits with Kole Calhoun and Mike Trout going deep while Erick Aybar doubled in another. The Angels send Corey Rasmus out to face the Seattle Mariners for the second time in 2014. Rasmus has five starts under his belt and usually will try to go 3-4 innings before the pen takes over.

The Seattle Mariners seemed like a shoe in for the playoffs but they have drastically slowed and were done in by a five game slide the past week. Despite their win Friday night the Mariners will be watching the postseason. Hisashi Iwakuma was solid in his last start of 2014 with both runs plated on solo homers through 6.1 innings. The offense did their damage with the long ball with Michael Saunders, Kendrys Morales and Dustin Ackley cracking homers. Left hander James Paxton opposes the Los Angeles Angels for the 4th time this year. Paxton is coming off his worse outing of 2014 where he gave up nine runs on seven hits and six BB over 2.2 frames of a 14-4 loss to Toronto.
Check out the lineups before betting because this game has become meaningless so I'll back the Angels with the Mariners down in the dumps pending a line...
