The Line: Cleveland Indians -106 / Detroit Tigers -104 --- Over/Under: 8 See the Latest Odds

The Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians square off Friday afternoon in game one of their series.

The Detroit Tigers are coming off a sweep of the Minnesota Twins and hope to keep things rolling on the road. The Tigers pitching staff has been most impressive, as they’ve allowed just one run and have 20 strikeouts in 27 innings. Offensively, Jose Iglesias and Anthony Gose each have six hits, while J.D. Martinez and Ian Kinsler have combined for eight RBI. The Detroit Tigers are off to a very quality start and are showing folks exactly why they entered this season as legit World Series contenders. Alfredo Simon gets the ball, and he was 15-10 with a 3.44 ERA and 127 strikeouts last season. Simon is 1-2 with a 5.48 ERA and 15 strikeouts in his career against the Indians.

Indians vs. Tigers - 4/10/15 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Cleveland Indians are coming off a series win over the Houston Astros and will play their home opener. The Indians pitching staff has allowed just three runs in their first three games and have combined for 36 strikeouts in those games. Offensively, Jason Kipnis leads the Indians with four hits while Carlos Santana and Roberto Perez each have two RBI apiece. The Indians had 11 hits in their Thursday victory. The Cleveland Indians will be a serious contender if their pitching staff can continue to hold up. Zach McAllister takes the hill, and he was 4-7 with a 5.23 ERA and 74 strikeouts last season. McAllister is 1-2 with a 4.66 ERA and 41 strikeouts in his career against the Tigers.

The Tigers are 9-3 in their last 12 during game 1 of a series and 5-13 in their last 18 games as a road underdog. The Indians are 1-7 in their last 8 during game 1 of a series and 2-9 in McAllisters last 11 starts. The Tigers are 6-1 in the last 7 meetings in Cleveland and the Indians are 6-2 in McAllisters last 8 starts vs. Tigers.

The Tigers are playing lights out ball right now, and I'm not sure Clevleand can keep up offensively. I'll take the road team here for the cheap price.
