The Cleveland Indians begin their second series of 2015 with the Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field.
The Cleveland Indians haven’t been playing very good baseball over the past few weeks following defeats in five of seven after a 7-2 defeat at Minnesota. Starter TJ House struggle in his second consecutive outing with five runs plated on seven hits and a pair of free passes over 5.2 innings while Anthony Swarzak allowing two runs in 2/3 of an inning. The offense mustered seven hits and walked to times Carlos Santana slugging his second homer with Michael Brantley singling in Michael Bourn.Cleveland hands the ball to Trevor Bauer for back to back starts versus the White Sox. Bauer gave up two runs on four hits and four bases on balls while whiffing eight batters in six innings.

The Chicago White Sox are also looking to get the ship pointed in the right direction but righting the ship against the Detroit Tigers right now is a lot to ask. It didn’t happen Sunday with both the arms and bats struggling in a 9-1 defeat on Sunday. The White Sox fell behind early although in the scope of things it didn’t matter with the offense held in check. Starter Jose Quintana fell to 1-1 with all nine runs scored on ten hits including a pair of homers through four innings pitched with Matt Albers and Kyle Drabek tossing two scoreless innings apiece. The offense had some chances on six hits and four bases on balls with Jose Abreu driving in Melky Cabrera who had a pair of hits. Lefty John Danks hopes to find the groove when he faces the Indians for the second straight time. In a 4-2 defeat to the Tribe Danks was charged with four runs (three earned) over 4.2 frames.
The under is 22-8 in Cleveland’s last 30 Monday games and 38-14 in the last 52 games as a favorite while the Indians are 8-3 in the last 11 road games. The White Sox are 3-11 in their last 14 games as an underdog and 5-12 in their last 17 overall while going 5-12 in their last 17 games on grass. Head to head the under is 14-2 in the last 16 games while Cleveland are 25-10 in the last 35 meetings. Neither team is playing well put Bauer is throwing well so I’ll back him…
