The Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals match up in game two of their series at Kauffman Stadium.

I look at the Minnesota Twins and I see a team that needs to get the most out of their pitching and hitting on a consistent basis because neither will carry the team by their lonesome. Neither got the job done Monday and the result was a 7-1 defeat at Kansas City. Kyle Gibson was saddled with the loss with four runs allowed on four hits and four bases on balls over five frames while Caleb Thielbar gave up three more in 2/3 of an inning. The offense totaled five hits and walked twice with Brian Dozier scoring the lone run. Minnesota goes with left hander Tommy Milone on the bump for his second straight start versus the Royals. Milone knocked off the Twins with three runs scored on seven hits and a trio of BB in 5.1 frames.

Kansas City Royals vs. Minnesota Twins - 4/21/15 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Kansas City Royals are playing as well as they can and if it continues the American League Central will be fun to watch with Detroit playing out of this world. The Royals are locked in an early season battle with the Tigers for supremacy in the Central and did their part to keep pace with Monday’s win. Edinson Volquez brought his ‘A’ game with the lone run allowed on five hits and a walk through seven innings pitched. That was overkill with the bats producing eight hits and four bases on balls with Kendrys Morales going 2-4 with two RBI’s and two runs while Paulo Orlando knocking in two more while Mike Moustakas scored twice. Jason Vargas takes the ball in the same match up versus the Twins from a week ago. Vargas was the loser in that game with five runs allowed (four earned) on ten hits and a walk over just three innings pitched.

The over is 17-8-1in the Royals last 26 games as a favorite while Kansas City are 61-30 in their last 91 overall and 61-30 in their last 91 games on grass. I don’t like the juice but I don’t think going against Kansas City is a wise move either so right or wrong…
