The St Louis Cardinals look to stay hot in their finale’ versus the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park.

If we stop the season right now the St Louis Cardinals would be the clear winner of the National League Central. The white hot Red Birds have won nine of ten following a 5-3 victory at Miller Park on Saturday. Adam Wainwright tossed four scoreless frames before leaving wit an injury to his ankle. Five relievers finished up with Kevin Siegrist giving up a pair of runs. The Cards did their damage on nine hits and a trio of bases on balls with Kolton Wong hammering a three run homer while Matt Carpenter and Jhonny Peralta posted two hits apiece.  The Cardinals give Sunday’s starting assignment to Lance Lynn who faces Milwaukee for the second time in 2015. Lynn has been consistent in four outings where he has allowed just five runs over 24 frames.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. St. Louis Cardinals - 4/26/15 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

While the Cardinals have lost once in two weeks the Milwaukee Brewers have been heading in the opposite direction with a win in two weeks as they are digging themselves an early season hole. The loss spoiled a great performance on the mound from Wily Peralta who allowed just two runs on seven hits and two BB through six innings which turned out to be nothing but a loss with Will Smith and Jeremy Jeffress allowing three runs to put the Cards up 5-0. The Brew Crew posted nine hits and walked three times with Aramis Ramirez going 3-4 with two RBI’s. Mike Fiers will be on the bump looking to prevent the sweep to the visiting Cardinals. Fiers struggled in his last start in a 16-10 loss to Cincinnati where he gave up eight runs (four earned) on eight hits in four innings.

The Cardinals are 9-1 in their last 10 overall and  are 9-1 in their last 10 games on grass while going  12-2 in their last 14 Sunday games. Milwaukee are 2-11 in their last 13 home games and are 14-39 in their last 53 overall while going 14-39 in their last 53 games on grass. The over is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings in Milwaukee while St Louis are 24-9 in the last 33 meetings in Milwaukee. I like the way Lynn and the Cardinals are going right now so…
