Baltimore Orioles vs. Chicago White Sox - 4/28/15 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

If you follow the Chicago White Sox the goal in the early stages of 2015 is to keep Kansas City and Detroit as close as possible and hopefully make a run at them at some point. The White Sox took care of business against the visiting Royals on Sunday as they rallied from a 3-0 deficit to win 5-3 behind a five run 6th inning. Lefty John Danks picked up his first win with three runs plated on five hits and a walk while striking out eight over six innings pitched with three relievers keeping KC off the board. The offense posted six hits and walked twice with Conor Gillaspie smacking a two run single. The White Sox kick the series off versus Baltimore with Hector Noesi on the bump. Noesi comes off of a 6-2 loss versus Cleveland where he gave up four runs on four hits including two homers in 5.2 frames.

The Baltimore Orioles are supposed to be one of the teams to watch in the American League East although they have yet to distinguish themselves in the early going thus far. The Orioles certainly opened some eyes Sunday with an 18-7 rout of Boston. The pitching wasn’t great but it didn’t matter with the Orioles pounding out 20 hits. Starter Bud Norris gave up three runs on seven hits and three BB through 6.2 frames to get his first win. Delmon Young drove in five runs with Chris Davis, Stave Pearce and Jimmy Paredes knocking in three runs apiece. The Orioles are hoping for a bounce back performance from Ubaldo Jimenez when he faces the White Sox on Tuesday. Jimenez dropped a 4-2 decision at Toronto with all four runs plated on six hits and three BB in five innings.

The White Sox are 7-19 in their last 26 road games and  are 16-7 in their last 23 Tuesday games. The over is 12-3-2 in Baltimore’s last 17 home games while the Orioles are 11-4 in their last 15 Tuesday games and  37-16 in their last 53 home games. The under is 13-3-2 in the last 18 meetings and Chicago are 2-6 in the last 8 meetings in Baltimore. If Jimenez is on the Orioles will be tough to beat if the runs keep flowing…
