The Milwaukee Brewers continue their series with the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park.

The Milwaukee Brewers had better  have a reversal of fortunes soon or they could be out of the National League Central race before the season even gets going. The Brewers are having across the board issues and that trend continued in Monday’s 9-6 defeat Great American Ball Park. Starter Jimmy Nelson had thrown the ball well but not in the series opener against the Reds as he was charged with seven runs on six hits and five BB in only 2.1 frames. The offense put together a decent game with eleven hits and three walks with Jean Segura going 2-5 with three RBI’s while Martin Maldonado scored twice. Veteran Kyle Lohse takes the hill to face Cincinnati in consecutive starts. Lohse defeated Cincinnati 4-2 with both runs plated on three hits and a free pass over seven innings of work.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Milwaukee Brewers - 4/28/15 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

I think the issue for the Cincinnati Reds is to become more consistent in all areas an win some series which seems to elude them too often. The Reds did put everything together versus Milwaukee on Monday and it began with a sparkling performance on the mound. Jason Marquis allowed two runs on seven hits through eight innings to up his record to 2-1. The bats posted nine hits and nine walks with Jay Bruce doing a lot of damage with a homer and three RBI’s with three BB and two runs while Todd Frazier walked three times and score three times. Ace Johnny Cueto looks for back to back victories when he takes the mound versus Milwaukee for the second time. Cueto allowed the lone run on five hits with eight strikeouts over eight frames.

The under is 9-3 in Milwaukee’s last 12 Tuesday games and is 11-4-1 in their last 16 road games while the Brewers  are 7-19 in their last 26 road games. Cincinnati  are 4-10 in their last 14 overall and  are 4-10 in their last 14 games on grass while the under is 5-2-1 in CIN last 8 overall. The under is 10-0 in Lohse’s last 10 starts at Cincinnati and the Reds are 9-0 in Cueto’s last 9 home starts versus Milwaukee. I’m going with Cueto and hope he gets some run support…
