The Chicago White Sox look to get their bats going against AL Central foe the Minnesota Twins.
After watching the Chicago White Sox in the early stages of 2015 they seem to need a few more hitters and arms to compete with the Royals and Tigers. The White Sox struggled at the plate in a 1-0 defeat at Minnesota on Friday which squandered a great performance on the mound from Jose Quintana. Quintana gave up the lone run on six hits and two bases on balls over seven innings to fall to 1-2 on the year. Opportunities were rare with the bats posting six hits and a walk with Adam LaRoche going 2-4. Left hander John Danks shoots for his third straight quality start when he takes the bump at Target Field. Danks held dangerous Kansas City to three runs on five hits over six innings of a 5-3 win.

The Minnesota Twins are in the same boat of their counterparts in that they need more scoring and pitching and for both to be on the same page to be able to challenge Detroit and Kansas City in the American League Central. The offense stalled Friday but starter Kyle Gibson came to the rescue with a four hit shutout through eight innings to improve to 2-2.The Twins managed seven hits and walked three times with Kennys Vargas scoring the lone run on a wild pitch in the 5th. Right hander Ricky Nolasco makes his second start of 2015 after suffering through some elbow issues. In his only start Nolasco fell to Detroit 11-0 with six runs plated on six hits and four BB over three frames.
Chicago are 7-21 in their last 28 road games and the under is 6-2-1 in their last 9 games as an underdog and is 5-2-1 in their last 8 overall. The over is 8-1-1 in Minnesota’s last 10 games as a favorite while the Twins are 2-8 in their last 10 Saturday games with the over going 22-6-1 in their last 29 home games. You never know what to expect when these teams meet so I’ll back the heavy over trend…
