The Philadelphia Phillies look to end their weekend with a win against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Arizona Diamondbacks have their backs against the wall and need to do a lot of winning soon to stay pertinent in the National League West. The Diamondbacks find themselves in danger of getting swept out of Philadelphia following a 7-5 defeat on Saturday night. Starter Archie Bradley was charged with four runs on five hits and three free passes in just two frames while Andrew Chafin gave up two runs and Enrique Burgos, one. The offense posted ten hits with Paul Goldschmidt smacking a two run homer while Yasmani Tomas went solo with Chris Owings went 3-4 with a pair of runs. Josh Collmenter needs to right the ship from a pair of poor starts when he faces Philadelphia Sunday. Collmenter suffered through the shortest start of his career last time out with nine runs scored on eight hits in 1.1 innings.

The Philadelphia Phillies have been finally putting together some wins and are going for their first sweep of the season after defeating the visiting Diamondbacks on Saturday night. The Phillies posted their 4th consecutive victory which is a season high with plenty of offense and just enough pitching. Starter Jerome Williams gave up three runs (two earned) on seven hits through five frames with the bullpen charged with two more runs. The Phils pounded out 13 hits and walked four times with Jeff Francoeur smacking his third homer with Chase Utley going 2-3 with two RBI’s. Grady Sizemore was 4-5 with a run while Carlos Ruiz was 2-4 with an RBI and a run. Sean O’Sullivan is slated to get Sunday’s start where he opposes the Diamondbacks for the first time in his career. O’Sullivan has struggled the past two trips to the mound with seven runs plated on nine hits over ten frames.
The over is 6-2 in Arizona’s last 8 overall and the over is 6-2 in their last 8 on grass while the under is 5-2-1 in the Diamondbacks last 8 road games. Philadelphia are 6-20 in their last 26 Sunday games. I’m a Phillies fan and I hope they win but backing O’Sullivan isn’t going to make you rich…
