The Los Angeles Angels shoot for another win over the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
The Los Angeles Angels seen to be awakening from their early season slow period as they try to chase down Houston in the American League West. The Angels have won three of four following a 12-5 win versus the Red Sox behind a big night at the plate. Starter Garrett Richards was not good with all five runs plated on nine hits and a pair of walks over six innings which was still good enough to get the win. The Angels racked up 12 hits and walked seven times with Erick Aybar, Albert Pujols and Chris Iannetta going deep and combining for six RBI’s. Veteran left hander toes the rubber versus the Red Sox in game two of their series. Wilson suffered through a rare poor outing in a 10-6 defeat at Toronto with four runs plated on ten hits over five innings.

The Boston Red Sox are tabbed as a contender in the American League East but have been unable to string the wins together. The Red Sox struggled in most areas of Friday’s one sided defeat with starter Rick Porcello getting hit hard. Porcello was tagged for seven runs through 4.1 innings with Matt Barnes giving up four more. The Boston offense did some damage on eleven hits and a pair of bases on balls with Mike Napoli going solo while Brock Holt knocked in two. The Red Sox are scheduled to send Steven Wright to the bump for his second start of 2015. Wright dropped his first outing 5-0 at Seattle where he gave up all three runs (two earned) on five hits over five frames.
The under is 7-1 in Angels last 8 games as an underdog and is 8-2 in their last 10 overall while going 6-2 in their last 8 road games. The under is 9-1-1 in Boston’s last 11 games as a favorite and the under is 14-3 in their last 17 on grass while going 16-4-1 in BOS last 21 overall. I’m simply going with the hotter team at a good price…
