The Texas Rangers are the hottest team in the American League West and need to stay that way with Houston and the Angels leading the American League. The Rangers did stay hot Tuesday with a 4-3 win at Cleveland for victory number seven in a row. Starter Wandy Rodriguez had an uneven start with all three runs plated on four hits and five walks over 5.1 frames for a no decision while four relievers kept the Tribe offense off the board. The Rangers totaled eight hits and three BB with Prince Fielder going deep and driving in three while Mitch Moreland went solo.Colby Lewis draws the start in the final game of the series at Progressive Field. Lewis has struggled the last two times out with eleven runs allowed on 15 hits and three BB over 11.2 frames.

The Cleveland Indians were red hot with their arms and bats both contributing to the success. The Indians had been hot and now have dropped consecutive contests which they can’t afford. Starter Danny Salazar was handed a 3-0 lead but gave all three runs back on six hits and a trio of free passes through 5.2 frames before Nick Hagadone served up a solo jack to absorb the loss. The Tribe produced five hits and walked three times with Ryan Raburn going deep and scoring twice while Jason Kipnis slugged a solo bomb. Cleveland hands the ball to Carlos Carrasco for his second appearance of the season against the Rangers. Carrasco is coming off of a 7-3 win against Cincinnati with two runs scored on four hits in six innings.
The under is 16-4 in Lewis’ last 20 Wednesday starts. The under is 11-3 in Cleveland’s last 14 Wednesday games and is 7-2 in their last 9 overall while going 7-2 in the Indians last 9 on grass. Texas are 3-13 in the last 16 meetings. I said yesterday that Cleveland at big chalk was not a good bet and here we are again with the big juice and I won’t touch this….
