The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for consistency in order to climb to the top of the American League East. The pitching struggled in a 6-5 loss at Minnesota for their third defeat in four contests. Starter Drew Hutchison gave up four runs on seven hits over 5.1 frames for a no decision before Roberto Osuna took the loss with a pair of runs scored. The bats did their damage on 13 hits and a trio of BB with Josh Donaldson going solo while Jose Reyes went 3-5 with a pair of runs driven in. Knuckleballer RA Dickey looks to right the ship when he opposes the Nationals in DC. Dickey has struggled the last four times out with a combined 22 runs scored on 30 hits covering 25 innings.

Starter Tanner Roark gave up a pair of runs on a pair of solo homers through six innings before Aaron Barrett absorbed the loss with a pair of runs scored in 1/3 of an inning. The game got out of hand when Matthew Grace was charged with four 7th inning runs. The bats totaled two hits and walked six times with Michael Taylor driving in both runs. Jordan Zimmermann hopes to stay hot when he takes the mound against the Blue Jays in game one of their DH. Zimmermann did not receive a decision in a 3-2 loss to the Cubs with a solo homer allowed in six innings.
