The Pittsburgh Pirates and PNC Park play host to the Milwaukee Brewers in Monday action.
The Milwaukee Brewers are in need of wins just to regain momentum as they have been struggling to win more then a few games in a row. After winning the first two games of their series at Minnesota the Brewers offense went flat in a 2-0 defeat on Sunday. Starter Mike Fiers gave up both runs on seven hits and three walks over 4.1 innings but his offense struggled to lend some support. The bats totaled eight hits and walked twice with Jonathan Lucroy going 2-4 but the key hit never materialized. Jimmy Nelson takes the ball in the series opener against the Pirates on Monday. Nelson looks to bounce back from a pair of poor outings with a combined ten runs plated on 14 hits over ten innings.
