The Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays conclude their weekend series at Fenway Park on Sunday.
The streaking Toronto Blue Jays are the hottest team in the game with both their bats and arms contributing to their two week win streak. The Blue Jays extended their two week hot streak to ten straight with Saturday’s 5-4, eleven inning victory behind some clutch hitting and a solid start from RA Dickey. Dickey gave up all four runs (three earned) on six hits and a walk. The Jays totaled 12 hits with Russell Martin going 2-5 with a homer and two runs while Ryan Goins went 2-5 with a pair of RBI’s. Marco Estrada gets the ball in the series finale’ at Fenway Park on Sunday afternoon. Estrada has won back to back games with a combined five runs plated on 13 hits and two BB in 13 innings.

The Boston Red Sox are looking for a much needed swing in momentum and the sooner the better. There was no momentum swing in Saturday’s extra inning defeat as they rallied from an early hole but still fell short. Starter Clay Buchholz was charged with all four runs on eight hits and a free pass through six frames with Matt Barnes taking the loss with a solo homer served up in the top of the 11th. The offense posted ten hits and walked once with David Ortiz smacking a solo jack and scoring twice while Pablo Sandoval went 2-3 with two runs driven in. Rookie left hander Eduardo Rodriguez makes his 4th start of the season and first ever versus Boston on Sunday. Rodriguez has given up a single run on eight hits and seven BB over 20.2 frames.
Toronto are 9-0 in their last 9 overall and are 3-9 in their last 12 Sunday games. Boston are 3-7 in their last 10 Sunday game and are 7-3 in their last 10 home games while the under is 27-13-1 in their last 41 overall. The Blue Jays are 9-4 in the last meetings in Boston. This looks like a toss up and I don’t have a strong feel for it so I’ll just go with the better odd with the Jays hitting lefties at over .300...
