The Kansas City Royals shoot for another win against the Milwaukee Brewers Thursday night.
I don’t know where the Milwaukee Brewers are heading at this point in the season but I don’t think the National League Central is on the to do list. The Brewers continued to have problems in a 10-2 loss at Kansas City for loss number six in a row. Mike Fiers fell to 3-7 with six runs scored on eight hits and a trio of free passes over five frames with Jonathan Broxton charged with four runs. The Brew Crew couldn’t keep up on six hits with Gerardo Parra and Scooter Gennett driving in runs while Shane Peterson was 3-3 with a run. Jimmy Nelson is slated to be on the bump to face the Royals in an interleague bout Thursday. Nelson will be looking to rebound from a 7-2 defeat versus Washington where he was charged with all seven runs on ten hits in five frames.

The Kansas City Royals are looking to stretch their lead in the American League Central and might be heading in that direction. The Royals seem to have found their mojo again with Wednesday’s win being their 7th in nine contests. Starter Joe Blanton was outstanding in his first 2015 start with a run allowed on five hits through five innings. KC pounded out 12 hits and walked five times with Alcides Escobar driving in four and scoring twice while seven players drove in runs and nine scored. Kansas City hands the ball to veteran Jeremy Guthrie for the last game of their series with Milwaukee. Guthrie fell to St Louis 3-2 last time out with all three runs allowed on ten hits in five innings.
The under is 7-2 in Milwaukee’s last 9 interleague road games. The under is 10-1-2 in Kansas City’s last 13 home games while the Royals are 6-2 in their last 8 overall and 6-2 in their last 8 games on grass. The under is 10-4 in the last 14 meetings. I’m riding the hot team although Guthrie is really a worry…
