The Milwaukee Brewers battle the New York Mets at Miller Park in Wednesday action.
The New York Mets have dropped to second in the National League East with plenty of pitching and hitting problems over the past week or so. The Mets struggles continued with a 3-2 defeat at Miller Park on Tuesday for loss number six in a row. Starter Jon Niese threw the ball well with two runs plated on eight hits and a pair of BB but the offense never got untracked with four hits and two walks to their credit. Curtis Granderson hit his 10th homer and Kevin Plawecki knocked in Wilmer Flores as the bats did not have many opportunities. Bartolo Colon looks for win number ten when he opposes Milwaukee for the second time in 2015. Colon needs to rebound from a 7-1 defeat at Toronto with all seven runs plated on nine hits over 4.1 frames.

It appears as if the Milwaukee Brewers season is over from a competitive standpoint as they can’t get their arms and bats on the same page. The Brewers celebrated a rare win Tuesday and despite winning the Brew Crew have still fallen in eight of eleven. Mike Fiers tossed a strong game with both runs plated on four hits and two bases on balls while whiffing seven through six innings of work. The Brew Crew totaled nine hits and walked five times with Jean Segura and Adam Lind driving in runs as just one starter failed to reach base. Jimmy Nelson is slated to be on the bump to match up with the visiting New York Mets. Nelson dropped a 3-2 decision at Kansas City with all three runs given up on eleven hits in five innings.
New York are 5-22 in their last 27 games as an underdog and are 6-20 in their last 26 road games while the under is 21-10-4 in their last 35 Wednesday games. Milwaukee are 1-8 in their last 9 overall and are 1-8 in their last 9 games on grass while the Brewers are 5-16 in their last 21 games as a favorite. Neither team has been setting the world on fire and I think bot are very risky to bet on…
