The Detroit Tigers and the Chicago White Sox face off on Saturday at Comerica Park for game two of their series of American League Central teams.
The Detroit Tigers scored late on Friday to snag the win fro the White Sox. Rajai Davis and J.D. Martinez each hit home runs and Miguel Cabrera had three hits as the Tigers scored five runs on 14 hits. Starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez allowed six hits and four runs while striking out seven over 7.0 innings as Bruce Rondon got the win Joakim Soria earned the save. For Saturday’s game the Tigers start Kyle Ryan who has allowed 24 hits and 12 earned runs while striking out 11 over 23.2 innings for a 1-1 record and a 4.56 ERA.

The Chicago White Sox continued to have tough luck on the road as they fell to the Tigers in Detroit in Friday. Adam Eaton, Jose Abreu, and Tyler Flowers each hit home runs as the White Sox scored four runs on eight hits. Starting pitcher Jose Quintana allowed 11 hits and three runs while striking out three over 6.0 innings to not get a decision as Zach Duke took the loss. For Saturday’s game the White Sox start John Danks who has allowed 97 hits and 48 earned runs while striking out 55 over 80.1 innings for a 3-8 record and a 5.38 ERA.

Normally in coin flip type games I take the underdog and the odds but with the White Sox being so bad on the road it is just a lean but my pick is the Tigers.
