The Minnesota Twins face off with the Milwaukee Brewers in the series rubber match Sunday.
The Minnesota Twins need to avoid any lengthy slowdowns to hold on to second in the American League Central to keep Kansas City within reach. The Twins even their series with a 5-2 win Saturday and have won two of three. Starter Kyle Gibson was in control throughout with both runs allowed on six hits over 6.2 frames to up his record to 4-6. The offense totaled seven hits and walked four times with Eduardo Escobar hitting a three run bomb while Torii Hunter went 3-4 with a pair of homers and three runs scored. Minnesota ends their series at Miller park with lefty Tommy Milone on the bump. Milone is looking for his third straight win after downing the White Sox 13-2 with both runs plated on ten hits in six frames.

The Milwaukee Brewers need some wins just to build some confidence going forward but winning a few games in a row hasn’t been their forte’. That trend continued in Saturday’s defeat as the offense stalled and the work on the mound wasn’t strong. The Brew Crew couldn’t keep up on their seven hit, one walk attack that saw Ryan Braun smack a pinch hit RBI single with Adam Lind going 2-4 with a run driven in while Carlos Gomez and Shane Peterson scored. Mike Fiers gets the start against visiting Minnesota in the final game of the series. Fiers is coming off of a 3-2 victory against the Mets where he allowed both runs allowed on four hits and two BB in six innings.
The under is 7-2-1 in Minnesota’s last 10 interleague games and the over is 13-4-1 in their last 18 Sunday games and 9-3 in Milone’s last 12 starts on grass. The under is 6-2 in Milwaukee’s last 8 Sunday games and the over is 19-8-1 in their last 28 home games while the Brewers are 4-9 in their last 13 overall. The over is 15-6-2 in the last 23 meetings. I am just going with the better team theory at better odds…
