Starter Matt Garza was ineffective with four runs scored on ten hits over six frames with Jonathan Broxton giving up two runs in 1/3 of an inning. The Brew Crew totaled 16 hits and walked four times with Adam Lind and Jean Segura driving in two runs each while Jonathan Lucroy scored twice as every starter scored, drove in a run or did both. Milwaukee hands the ball to Mike Fiers in game one of their series with the Reds. Fiers is coming off of back to back no decisions with three runs plated on eight hits and six BB in 13 innings.

The Cincinnati Reds are trying to stay afloat in the National League Central and get ready for a run at St Louis. The Reds have won two of three following a 2-1 win against visiting Minnesota on Wednesday. The offense didn’t do much but didn’t have to with Johnny Cueto on the hill. Cueto gave up the one run on four hits and struck out eight through eight frames to even his record at 5-5. The Reds totaled six hits and walked three times with Joey Votto hitting a sacrifice fly while Brandon Phillips and Billy Hamilton scored. Michael Lorenzen is slated to take the hill against the visiting Brewers Friday for the second time in 2015. Lorenzen has been throwing the ball well the past three times out with a 2-0 record with a 1.93 ERA.
