The Pittsburgh Pirates and Cleveland Indians look to get a win at PNC Park in an interleague tilt.
The Cleveland Indians have plenty of time to climb back in to the American League Central race but they probably need to make their move soon. The Indians have been looking good following a 5-2 win versus Pittsburgh for win number five in a row. Trevor Bauer was outstanding with a two run homer given up over 6.1 innings pitched with four relievers putting up zeros. The Tribe did their damage on seven hits and eight walks with Brandon Moss leaving the yard with two RBI’s and two runs while Michael Bourn knocked in three. Rookie Cody Anderson makes his third start of the season at Pittsburgh on Saturday. Anderson has faced Tampa Bay twice with just a single run allowed on eight hits over 15.2 innings pitched.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are trying to stay close to the Cardinals in the National League Central and perhaps make a run at the division lead. The Pirates missed out on a chance to pick up a game in the standings with Friday’s defeat where the offense failed to get going. Starter Charlie Morton threw well with three runs plated on four hits and three bases on balls through six frames which turned out to be a losing effort. The Buccos were held to three hits and three walks with Andrew McCutchen supplying a two run homer that scored Neil Walker. Jeff Locke is scheduled to be on the hill to oppose Cleveland for the first time in his career. Locke threw the ball well in a 2-1 loss to Atlanta with a run given up on five hits and a trio of BB in five frames.
The under is 7-3 in Cleveland’s last 10 on grass. The over is 8-2 in Pittsburgh’s last 10 on grass and the over is 8-2 in their last 10 overall while going 7-2 in the Pirates last 9 games as a favorite. I think Pittsburgh has the edge but if I were touching this it would be small on the plus odds…
