The Los Angeles Angels had the Rangers pit away by the second inning on Friday winning game one of their series. Erick Aybar had five hits, David Freese had three hits, and Kole Calhoun had two hits as the Angels scored eight runs on 15 hits. Starting pitcher Garrett Richards allowed six hits and a run while striking out six over 7.2 innings to get the win and raise his record to 9-5 for the season. For Sunday’s game the Angels start Hector Santiago who has allowed 74 hits and 27 earned runs while striking out 88 over 94.1 innings for a 4-4 record and a 2.58 ERA.

Texas is 9-4 in game two of a series, 1-4 against a left-handed starter, and 7-1 in Rodriguez’s last eight starts. Los Angeles is 6-1 in their last seven games, 13-5 as a road favorite, and 6-2 in Santiago’s last eight starts against the AL West. Los Angeles is 13-2 in their last 15 games at Texas.

This looks like a fairly tight game and I will give it to the home team but I am not extremely confident in them.
