The Diamondbacks send Robbie Ray to the mound for his second career start versus the Rangers. Ray struggled a bit in a 4-3 loss to the Dodgers where he gave up all four runs on seven hits in six frames.

The Texas Rangers have been one of the surprise teams in the game although they are looking to rebound from a three game road sweep at the hands of the Angels. The Rangers were blasted 12-6 by Los Angeles on Sunday night with the LAA up 12-1 after four innings. Starter Colby Lewis was tagged for ten runs on 12 hits and two BB that dropped his record to 8-4.The offense did some damage on eleven hits and two walks with Rougned Odor cracking a three run homer while Prince Fielded went 2-5 with a solo jack. A white hot Yovani Gallardo hopes to continue his torrid work on the mound when the Diamondbacks visit. Gallardo has not allowed a run in four straight starts covering 26.1 innings with 14 hits and nine walks allowed.
