The Toronto Blue Jays look to end their series at the Chicago White Sox with a victory.
The Toronto Blue Jays have been up and down and need to go in to the All Star break on the upswing. The Blue Jays currently are sitting in second in the American League East as they are just one game above .500 after dropping a 7-6, eleven inning defeat to the White Sox. The pitching struggled with Drew Hutchison allowing four runs over five frame with Liam Hendricks giving up two more before Roberto Osuna served up an 11th inning homer to take the loss. The Jays logged ten hits and walked five times with Jose Reyes and Josh Donaldson driving in a pair of runs while Devon Travis scored twice. Knuckleballer RA Dickey draws the start against the White Sox on Thursday. Dickey struggled in his last outing in an 8-3 loss at Detroit with five runs plated on eleven hits over 5.2 frames.

The Chicago White Sox are reaching the point of the season where losing streaks could end their dreams of winning the American League Central. The White Sox are on a bit of a roll as winners in six of eight after Wednesday’s victory. John Danks was charged with all six runs on eight hits through 4.1 innings for a no decision with four relievers putting up zeros. The offense amassed 16 hits and walked three times with Adam Eaton going 2-4 with two RBI’s and two runs including a walk off jack in the 11th. Jose Abreu also logged two hits and scored twice with Adam LaRoche driving in a pair of runs. Jeff Samardzija toes the rubber versus the Blue Jays for the second time in 2015. Samardzija comes off of a 3-2 win against the Orioles where he gave up one run on three hits while striking out nine in 7.2 innings.
Toronto are 7-19 in Dickey’s last 26 road starts and are 3-8 in Dickey’s last 11 Thursday starts. The under is 21-4-2 in Chicago’s last 27 games as a favorite and is 27-7-1 in their last 35 home games while going 15-6 in the White Sox last 21 Thursday games. I think Samardzija can control the scoreboard and the bats will hit Dickey…
