The Atlanta Braves look to get back in the win column against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.
The Atlanta Braves were close to reaching .500 with wins in six of seven before dropping three straight after a 5-3 defeat at Coors Field Friday night. Dependable Shelby Miller was charged with all five runs on eleven hits over five frames to fall to 5-5. The Bravos attack produced eight hits and a pair of walks with Kelly Johnson swinging the big bat with a 2-4 night with a homer and three runs driven in with all but one starter reaching base. Rookie Matt Wisler makes his 5th start of the season and first against the Rockies. Wisler defeated Milwaukee 5-3 in his last outing with all three runs allowed on seven hits in 5.2 innings.

The Colorado Rockies have been fading badly and could be out of the running in the National League West soon. The slumping Rockies might have won Friday but they still have lost seven of eleven with their pitching by committee effort getting the job done. Six pitchers split the workload and the offense backed them up with 12 hits and three bases on balls. Carlos Gonzalez hit his 12 homer while DJ LeMathieu and Daniel Descalso each drove in runs and scored. Left hander Jorge De La Rosa is scheduled to be on the bump against visiting Atlanta. De La Rosa defeated the Diamondbacks 6-4 with a pair of runs scored on five hits over six frames.
Atlanta are 7-1 in their last 8 Saturday games while the under is 8-2 in their last 10 road games and 15-5-1 in the Braves last 21 overall. Colorado are 3-9 in their last 12 overall and are 3-9 in their last 12 games on grass while going 8-1 in De La Rosa’s last 9 starts. Atlanta are 22-8 in the last 30 meetings and the under is 5-2-1 in the last 8 meetings. Wisler is really an unknown but backing Colorado is painful to back with juice…
