The Kansas City Royals and the Toronto Blue Jays face off on Saturday for game two of their series.

Salvador Perez hit a home run, Eric Hosmer had four hits, and Alcides Escobar and Alex Rios each had two hits the Royals scored three runs on 11 hits. Starting pitcher Danny Duffy allowed four hits over 6.0 innings to get the win and raise his record to 3-4 for the season and Greg Holland earned his 18th save. For Saturday’s game the Royals start Chris Young who has allowed 60 hits and 26 earned runs while striking out 52 over 81 innings for a 7-4 record and a 2.89 ERA.

The Toronto Blue Jays didn’t get any offense going on Friday as they lost game one in Kansas City. Jose Bautista had two hits and Jose Reyes and Russell Martin each had hits as the Blue Jays didn’t score on six hits. Starting pitcher Marco Estrada allowed nine hits and two earned runs while striking out two over 6.2 innings to take the loss and fall to 6-5 for the season. For Saturday’s game the Blue Jays start Mark Buehrle who has allowed 116 hits and 43 earned runs while striking out 59 over 114.1 innings for a 9-5 record and a 3.38 ERA.
