The Cleveland Indians look to even their series versus the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park.
The Cleveland Indians haven’t been able to sustain a long hot streak and the result is 4th in the American League Central. The Indians had nothing going favorably in Friday’s 6-1 loss at Great American Ball Park. Starter Trevor Bauer was hit around to the tune of five runs on five hits including a pair of homeruns over four innings of work. The Tribe logged six hits and walked once with Carlos Santana driving in a run while Francisco Lindor scored. Cleveland is slated to send Corey Kluber to the mound to oppose Cincinnati for the second time this year. Kluber is coming off of a 2-0 loss to Oakland where he was charged with both runs on four hits over eight frames.

The Cincinnati Reds are at a point in the season where they have to string the wins together or kiss the postseason goodbye. The Reds had dropped three of four heading in to the second half before dominating the visiting Indians in all areas. Starter Mike Leake picked up the win with the lone run scored on four hits and a pair of free passes through six innings of work. Marlon Byrd went 4-4 with a homer and two runs with Joey Votto going solo while Leake doubled and drove in three. Anthony DeSclafani will be on the bump for game two of their series with Cleveland. DeScalfani gave up both runs in a 3-2 win at Washington on five hits and four free passes in 5.2 frames.
Cleveland are 7-1 in their last 8 road games and the under is 6-2 in their last 8 on grass while going 7-3 in their last 10 Friday games. The over is 38-14 in the Reds last 52 games as an underdog. Neither team has proven to be dependable in my eyes so take that in to consideration before laying juice with a poor squad...
