The Chicago Cubs continue their visit to great American Ball Park for their NL Central tilt with the Cincinnati Reds.
The Chicago Cubs have been playing well this season and in doing so the postseason is a legitimate goal. The Cubs had won three of four before falling 5-4 at Cincinnati on Monday. Clayton Richard had an uneven outing with three runs allowed on four hits including a pair of homers over 5.1 frames with Justin Grimm serving up a two run bomb to take the loss. The Cubs totaled eight hits and walked six times with Jorge Soler driving in two runs while Kris Bryant drove in a run and scored. Jason Hammel toes the rubber for the second time against Cincinnati in 2015. Hammel lost to the Reds 5-4 with four runs allowed (two earned) on seven hits and a trio of BB in five frames.
