The Cleveland Indians travel to Miller Park to open an interleague series with the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Cleveland Indians are trying to reach .500 and keep their postseason hopes alive. The Indians moved closer to that goal with an eleven inning 5-3 win at Great American Ball Park Sunday for back to back wins against the Reds. Starter Carlos Carrasco gave up a run over six frames before Cody Allen blew the save in the 9th. The Tribe logged 13 hits and walked a whopping ten times with Michael Brantley driving in two while Michael Bourne and Roberto Perez scored twice each. The Indians open the series at Miller Park with Danny Salazar on the bump. Salazar looks to build on a 5-1 victory versus Oakland where he gave up an unearned run on five hits while whiffing eight over 8.2 frames.

The Milwaukee Brewers have been playing better baseball since their dismal start but the only real goal that seems possible is reaching .500. The Brewers moved closer to that goal after a 6-1 versus Pittsburgh on Sunday gave them a sweep of the Pirates. Taylor Jungmann gave up the lone run on five hits and a trio of BB through seven innings to up his record to 5-1. The Brew Crew unleashed an eleven hit, three walk attack that saw Khris Davis double in two runs while Carlos Gomez went 1-2 with two walks and a pair of runs. Matt Garza comes off the disabled list after battling a shoulder problem to face Cleveland. In four starts before heading to the DL, Garza gave up a combined 21 runs on 24 hits including six homers.
The under is 6-2 in Cleveland’s last 8 Tuesday games and the Indians are 7-3 in their last 10 road games while the over is 7-3 in their last 10 road games. Milwaukee are 9-3 in their last 12 games following a win and are 2-6 in their last 8 interleague games while the under is 8-3-1 in their last 12 home games. I’m not sure of Garza coming off the DL so I give the nod to Cleveland…
