The Houston Astros will be looking for a win at Kauffman Stadium versus the Kansas City Royals.
The Houston Astros are looking to retake the lead in the American League West and are keeping the pressure on the front running Angels. The Astros hot streak ended at five with a 2-1, ten inning defeat at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday. Starter Scott Feldman held KC to a run on four hits over 7.2 frames before Will Harris allowed a run in the 10th to take the loss. The Stros managed just five hits and a walk with Carlos Correa driving in Jose Altuve with a sacrifice fly. Dallas Keuchel shoots for consecutive victories when he opposes the Royals for the second time in 2015. Keuchel comes off of a 10-0 win against the Rangers where he tossed a two hit shutout over seven frames while whiffing 13.

The Kansas City Royals look like the crème of the crop in the American League Central although they have to guard against losing streaks. The Royals avoided a three game slide with Saturday’s victory. Starter Danny Duffy gave up a run on three hits through six frames with four relievers putting up zeros. KC totaled seven hits and walked twice with Alcides Escobar going 2-5 with an RBI and run while Salvador Perez recorded an RBI with Paulo Orlando scoring. The Royals are slated to send Yordano Ventura to the bump to face the visiting Astros on Sunday. Ventura suffered a 10-7 loss to Pittsburgh last time out with six runs scored on ten hits in four innings.
Houston are 7-19 in their last 26 road games and are 14-6 in their last 20 Sunday games while the under is 8-2 in Keuchel’s last 10 Sunday starts. Kansas City are 9-3 in their last 12 home games and are 12-5 in their last 17 overall while going 12-5 in their last 17 games on grass. I think the Astros at a nice price is not a bad way to go with Keuchel going…
