The Chicago White Sox continue their series at Fenway Park with a Tuesday night tilt with the Boston Red Sox.
The Chicago White Sox are playing about as well as they have all season right now so the question is will it continue. The White Sox stayed hot with a 10-8 win at Fenway Park as the offense overcame shaky work on the mound. John Danks was charged with seven runs over 4.1 frames with Dave Robertson allowing a run in the 9th and leaving a pair of runners on base. The CWS racked up 15 hits and four BB with Adam Eaton and Tyler Flowers knocking in two runs apiece while Melky Cabrera and Jose Abreu each scored twice. The White Sox send Jeff Samardzija to the bump for his second career meeting against Boston. Samardzija shoots for consecutive wins after defeating Cleveland 8-1 with the lone run scored over eight frames.

I don’t believe the Boston Red Sox are going anywhere in 2015 but a .500 record would be a solid goal. That goal was put on hold with Monday’s series opening defeat with the offense unable to overcome the pitching. Starter Joe Kelly allowed five runs through 3.1 frames before Robbie Ross came on to give up three runs over two innings. The Red Sox logged 12 hits and three walks with Mookie Betts and going 3-5 with a pair of RBI’s while David Ortiz smacked a two run bomb. Rusney Castillo and Ryan Hanigan each scored two times as every starter scored or knocked in runs. Left hander Wade Miley gets the game two start versus the visiting White Sox on Tuesday. Miley has been outstanding the past two times out wit a run plated on five hits in 13 innings pitched.
The under is 6-2 in Chicago’s last 8 games as an underdog and is 9-4-1 in their last 14 overall while going 9-4-1 in their last 14 on grass. Boston are 2-9 in their last 11 overall and are 2-9 in their last 11 games on grass while the Red Sox are 7-2 in their last 9 games as a favorite. The White Sox are 2-7 in the last 9 meetings in Boston and are 3-8 in the last 11 meetings. The Red Sox might have the edge here but I’d rather go small on the hotter White Sox or walk away…
