The Chicago White Sox look to close out their series at Fenway Park with another win versus the Boston Red Sox.
The Chicago White Sox are playing their best baseball of the year and whether it continues or not remains to be seen. The White Sox continued to win with a 9-4 victory at Fenway Park on Tuesday. Starter Jeff Samardzija allowed all four runs on seven hits over eight frames to pick up the win. The offense racked up 14 hits and walked four times with Jose Abreu and Geovany Soto leaving the yard and knocking in three runs apiece while scoring twice each. Left hander Jose Quintana opposes the Red Sox on Wednesday for the first time in 2015. Quintana was at his best in a 6-0 victory at Cleveland with a complete game, eight strikeout effort.

The Boston Red Sox have not been able to make a run in the American League East and have been losing ground. The Red Sox struggles continued on Tuesday with neither the work on the mound or at the plate being strong. Starter Wade Miley was hit hard with seven runs plated on ten hits and a trio of base on balls through 5.2 innings. The bats couldn’t keep up on eight hits and a walk with Pablo Sandoval going deep and driving in two while Haley Ramirez went 2-4 with an RBI and run.Rick Porcello looks for consecutive quality starts when he faces the visiting White Sox. Porcello is coming off of a 2-1 win against Detroit where he gave up the only run on five hits over seven frames.
The under is 6-2 in Quintana’s last 8 road starts and is 10-4 in Quintana’s last 14 Wednesday starts while going 40-18-2 in Quintana’s last 60 on grass. Boston are 2-10 in their last 12 overall and are 2-10 in their last 12 games on grass while going 6-16 in their last 22 Wednesday games. The White Sox are 3-7 in the last 10 meetings in Boston. Right or wrong I’ll take the White Sox even though Chicago won’t keep winning and Boston won’t keep losing…
