The Chicago White Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays face off on Wednesday in Chicago in game three of their MLB series.

Tyler Saldino and Avisal Garcia each hit home runs and Adam Eaton added a hit as the White Sox scored three runs on seven hits. Starting pitcher Charis Sale allowed six hit and seven runs while striking gout nine over 5.1 innings to take the loss and fall to 9-7 for the season. The Tampa Bay Rays appear to be climbing back into the American League Wildcard race as they won for the third game in a row. Logan Forsythe, Asdrubal Cabrera, Richie Shaffer, and Mike Mahtook each hit home runs as the Rays scored 11 runs on 13 hits. Starting pitcher Chris Archer allowed six hits and two runs while striking out seven over 7.0 innings to get the win and go to 10-8 for the season. For Wednesday’s game the Rays start Erasmo Ramirez who has allowed 78 hits and 39 earned runs while striking out 79 over 97.1 innings for an 8-4 record and a 3.61 ERA.
Chicago is 1-5 in their last six games, 1-8 in their last nine home games, and 5-1 I Rodon’s last six starts on four days of rest. Tampa Bay is 14-3 against a left-handed starter, 6-13 in their last 19 road games, and 6-1 in Ramirez’s last seven road starts. Tampa Bay has won their last five games against Chicago.
I don’t like the way Chicago hasn’t been able to match up here and while Rodon seems to find a way to win I have to take the Rays here.
