The Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Indians continue their series at Target Field.
The Cleveland Indians are still mathematically alive in the postseason picture but a ton of things have to happen which isn’t likely. The Indians have been playing well with wins in five of six with Friday’s 6-1 victory on Friday. Corey Kluber looked like a Cy Young award winner with a complete game one hitter with the only hit being a homer. The Tribe racked up14 hits with Geovanny Urshela going deep and driving in two with two runs while Mike Aviles drove in two and Abraham Amonte scoring twice. The Cleveland Indians send Josh Tomlin to the hill to face Minnesota on Saturday. Tomlin is coming back from a shoulder problem and was 6-9 with a 4.76 ERA over 25 outings in 2014.

The Minnesota Twins have been fading for awhile and each defeat takes them further from the postseason. The Twins are in trouble with Friday’s defeat saddling them with losses in eight of eleven. Starter Trevor May fell to 6-8 with two runs scored in three frames before JR Graham gave up three runs over 2.1 innings. In the scope of things it didn’t matter what the pitching did with the offense held to a solo homerun off the bat of Joe Mauer with Miguel Sano drawing a walk. Rookie Tyler Duffy makes his second career start against the visiting Indians on Saturday. Duffy dropped a 9-7 decision to the Blue Jays in his debut with six runs plated over two innings pitched.
Minnesota are 8-1 in their last 9 games as a favorite while the over is 7-1 in their last 8 overall and 19-7-1 in the Twins last 27 games as a favorite. This doesn’t look like there is an edge so I’ll try the over but seriously this one is an unknown…
