The struggling Boston Red Sox look to even their series with the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday.
The Cleveland Indians are trying to reach .500 and that is about the only achievable goal left in 2015. The Indians had dropped three of four before getting everything on the same page in an 8-2 rout of Boston. Starter Danny Salazar gave up four hits including a solo jack over seven frames to get the win. The offense didn’t waste the effort with Lonnie Chisenhall going 2-4 with a homer, three RBI’s and two runs while Carlos Santana going deep and scoring twice. Cleveland hopes Trevor Bauer looks to right the ship when he opposes the Red Sox for the first time in his career. Bauer has given up ten runs the last two times out on 14 hits over ten innings.

The Boston Red Sox have been playing around .500 baseball the last few weeks which is actually pretty good considering how their 2015 has gone. Starter Matt Barnes was charged with six runs on six hits and a trio of free passes through five innings to absorb the defeat. The bats logged six hits and walked three times with Travis Shaw going deep and driving in pinch runner Josh Rutledge with a single in the 9th. Left hander Eduardo Rodriguez looks to get back in the winning column against the Indians. Rodriguez was hit hard in a 14-6 loss at Miami with eight runs scored on nine hits in five frames.
Cleveland are 2-6 in their last 8 road games while the under is 9-1-1 in Bauer’s last 11 road starts while going 11-5-1 in Bauer’s last 17 on grass. The over is 10-1 in Boston’s last 11 home games and is 8-1 in their last 9 games as a home favorite while going 19-6-1 in their last 26 overall. Cleveland are 3-8 in the last 11 meetings in Boston. Not much to choose from on the mound here so I’m sitting this out…
