The Texas Rangers shoot for another victory at the Detroit Tigers in Saturday action.
The Texas Rangers have not given up on the American League West crown even though the Wild Card is more likely. The Rangers continued to rack up the wins with a 2-0 victory at Detroit on Friday night. Starter Colby Lewis was outstanding with a six hit shutout over seven frames to pick up the win. The offense did their damage on five hits and a pair of BB with Prince Fielder and Will Venable driving in runs. Veteran Yovani Gallardo squares off with the heavy hitting Tigers in Saturday action. Gallardo defeated the Rays 5-3 last time out with all three runs scored on eleven hits over 5.1 innings.

Texas are 6-2 in their last 8 overall and are 6-2 in their last 8 games on grass while the under is 9-3 in Gallardo’s last 12 starts overall. The over is 35-15-2 in Detroit’s last 52 on grass and is 36-16-3 in their last 55 overall. The over is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings. If I were to bet this I might place an action bet on the over…
