The Cleveland Indians look for consecutive victories at the Detroit Tigers Saturday.
The Cleveland Indians have a very real shot at reaching the .500 mark although the postseason doesn’t appear likely. The Indians prevented a three game skid with an8-1 win at Detroit on Friday. Josh Tomlin continued his strong pitching with a complete game four hitter that upped his record to 4-1. The offense made that effort stand upwith an eleven hit, four walk attack. Jerry Sands homered and tripled to drive in two and score twice while Lonnie Chisenhall knocked in a pair. Cleveland hands the ball to Danny Salazar who faces the Tigers for the 4th time in 2015. Salazar is coming off of a 4-2 win at Toronto where he gave up both runs on six hits in seven innings.

Alfredo Simon looks to break in to the win column when he opposes the Indians. Simon has struggled the past two times out with 12 runs scored on 14 hits and six BB in 9.1 frames.

Detroit are 1-9 in their last 10 games as an underdog and are 2-8 in their last 10 games on grass while the over is 11-4 in Simons last 15 starts overall. The over is 7-2 in the last 9 meetings in Detroit and is 23-7 in the last 30 meetings. I’m not sure what we’ll see from Simon but in his current form I’m looking at the over…
