The Cleveland Indians continue their drive to a winning record with a win versus the Detroit Tigers.
The Detroit Tigers are looking to finish the season strong as the one time king of the American League Central is no more. The Tigers are coming off of a 7-5 defeat at Progressive Field on Thursday with five runs given up over 6.2 frames before Blaine Hardy surrendered a two run jack to take the loss. The Tigers pounded out 12 hits and walked three times with Andrew Romine going 3-4 with an RBI and a run while James McCann scored twice on a 2-3 performance. Veteran left hander Randy Wolf makes his 5th start of the season on Saturday. Wolf did not get a decision in a 5-4 against the Rays. Wolf gave up four runs on eight hits in 4.1 innings.

The Indians have won four of five after knocking off the Tigers Thursday with Danny Salazar allowing three runs on seven hits through 6.1 frames but did not get the win with Bryan Shaw allowing two runs. The Tribe totaled ten hits and walked four times with Michael Brantley going deep twice and driving in three while Abraham Almonte homered and scored twice. Cleveland hands the ball to Trevor Bauer who comes of an outstanding effort against the White Sox in a 3-2 road victory. Bauer was charged with both runs on two hits and five BB over seven frames.
