The Texas Rangers look to pick up a game in the standings with a win over the Houston Astros Wednesday.

The Houston Astros need to right the ship and regain their grip on the American League West.  The Astros were outscored 6-5 at Texas Tuesday and have lost six of eight.  Starter Collin McHugh was charged with five runs over 3.2 frames  with Oliver Perez allowing a run to get the loss. The Stros logged ten hits and walked three times with Evan Gattis driving in two runswith Chris Carter, Hank Conger and Jake Marisnick knocking in runs and scoring. The Astros turn to left hander Dallas Keuchel to the bump looking for his 18th win Wednesday. Keuchel has been outstanding in 2015 with a 17-7 record with a 2.22 ERA in 29 starts.

Texas Rangers vs. Houston Astros - 9/16/15 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Texas Rangers are trying to catch the Astros in the American League West and they have been playing well. The Rangers notched their 4th win in five contests following Tuesday’s victory. Starter Derek Holland was hit hard with all five runs given up on ten hits through 5.2 innings for a no decision while four relievers putting up zeros. The Rangers racked up 14 hits and walked three times with Adrian Beltre going 4-5 with two RBI’s and a run while Prince Fielder was 3-4 with an RBI and a pair of runs. Lefty Martin Perez draws the start against the Astros in the final game of their series on Wednesday night. Overall Perez has posted a 2-5 record with a 5.43 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP over ten starts.

The under is 20-8-3 in Houston’s last 31 road games while the Astros  are 15-37 in their last 52 road games while the over is 9-3 in Keuchel’s last 12 Wednesday starts. The under is 6-1-1 in Texas last 8 home games and  is 19-6-3 in their last 28 overall while going  19-6-3 in their last 28 on grass. The under is 7-2-1 in the last 10 meetings in Texas and Houston  are 15-37 in the last 52 meetings in Texas. I don’t like how Houston is playing but I’ll back their ace..
